Cookie policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used when you visit methodandfolio.co.uk. Cookies are small files saved on your device; similar technologies can store or read information without creating a cookie.

The short version

We use essential cookies to make the shop work—for example, to keep items in your bag, run checkout, protect the site, remember your privacy choices and support customer accounts and forms.

We may also use optional cookies or similar technologies to understand how the website is used or provide extra features. Where your permission is required, those optional technologies will not be used until you choose to allow them.

Shopify

Shopify hosts our shop and provides its checkout, accounts, security, privacy controls and store analytics. Shopify receives device and store-use information through these services. Its enhanced services may combine information from our store with information from other merchants to improve services, personalise experiences or support advertising, subject to applicable privacy choices. Our Privacy Policy and Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy explain this processing.

Essential cookies

Essential cookies are needed for services you ask for, such as using your bag, checking out, signing in, submitting a form, protecting payments and keeping the website secure. They cannot be switched off through our cookie banner because the website would not work properly without them.

Optional cookies

Optional cookies can measure visits and shopping activity or support additional preferences, personalisation and marketing. We ask permission before optional cookies or similar technologies are used where consent is required. Rejecting them does not prevent you from shopping. If we change the optional technologies we use, we will update this information and ask again where permission is needed.

Printful tracking

Our installed Printful integration includes an optional tracking pixel for analytics and marketing measurement. It can receive information about how you use the shop through Shopify’s customer-event system. We only permit this pixel where you allow both analytics and marketing; it is also subject to your applicable choice to opt out of data sale or sharing. You can refuse or withdraw those permissions through Cookie preferences. Printful’s Privacy Policy explains how it handles information, including retention and international processing.

Your choice

The cookie banner lets you accept, reject or manage optional cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the website’s Cookie preferences link. Rejecting optional cookies is as easy as accepting them. Your choice applies to the browser and device you are using.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the shop or checkout from working.

Cookie duration and questions

Some cookies last only until you close your browser; others remain until they expire or you delete them. Depending on the features you use, Shopify’s storefront cookies include: _shopify_test (cookie support check, 1 minute); cart and cart_currency (bag and currency, 2 weeks); _tracking_consent (privacy choice, 1 year); and _shopify_essential (store, session and checkout operation, up to 1 year). Optional analytics cookies can include _shopify_s (30 minutes), _landing_page and _orig_referrer (2 weeks), and _shopify_analytics and _shopify_y (1 year). Where used, _shopify_marketing stores marketing information for up to 1 year. Shopify’s Cookie Policy gives its current storefront cookie list and durations. We will update this policy if our use changes. Questions: hello@methodandfolio.co.uk.
