Contact us before returning an item
Contact us before sending anything back. Email hello@methodandfolio.co.uk with your order number and say that you want to cancel or describe any problem with the item. For a marketplace purchase, contact us through that order. We will provide the correct return address and instructions. Do not send returns to the dispatch address or a production partner unless we instruct you to. Sending a parcel back without a clear cancellation request or explanation does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Your legal cancellation and refund rights are unaffected.
Standard physical goods — change of mind
For an eligible standard physical item, tell us within 14 days after delivery that you want to cancel. An email or marketplace message is enough; you do not have to use a form or give a reason. You then have 14 days after telling us to send the item back, unless the selling platform gives you longer. A standard item printed to order is covered by this section unless it is genuinely personalised or made to your individual specification.
You pay the direct cost of change-of-mind return postage. We recommend tracked postage. You may inspect the item as you would in a shop; we may reduce the refund only where the law allows because extra handling has reduced its value.
We refund the product price and the least expensive standard outbound delivery charge offered for the order. We do not have to refund the extra cost of an upgraded delivery method. The refund is made to the original payment method within 14 days after we receive the returned goods or acceptable evidence that they were sent, whichever is earlier where the law requires.
Personalised or made-to-specification goods
A product made to your chosen name, text, image, dates, measurements or other specification cannot be cancelled for change of mind once production has begun and is not returnable simply because you no longer want it. If we have not started production, contact us immediately and we will cancel where reasonably possible.
This exclusion never removes your rights if the item is faulty, damaged, wrong, not delivered or materially different from the listing or approved proof.
Digital products
Digital downloads are normally supplied after payment. We do not offer additional voluntary change-of-mind refunds once access or download begins.
Your UK 14-day cancellation right ends when digital supply starts only if you have agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged losing that right, and we have confirmed your agreement. Otherwise, it continues for 14 days from the contract date. To cancel, email us with your order number; any refund legally due is made within 14 days.
If a digital product is missing, corrupt, inaccessible, faulty or materially misdescribed, contact us. We will provide a working copy, correction, replacement, price reduction or refund as required by law and platform rules.
Faulty, damaged, wrong or misdescribed items
Contact us promptly and include photographs where useful. Method & Folio pays or arranges reasonable return postage where a return is required. We may repair, replace, remake, reduce the price or refund depending on the problem, timing, applicable law and platform protection. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Exchanges
We do not operate a general exchange service. For an eligible standard physical item, follow the return instructions and place a new order. A replacement for a fault, damage or our error is handled as a remedy, not a voluntary exchange.
Marketplace purchases
Use the marketplace return or case process and its deadlines. Etsy fixed buyer protections, eBay Money Back Guarantee and Amazon return rules remain. A marketplace may provide a longer return window or process a refund directly; those stronger terms take priority.

Our service and correspondence address is below. Contact us before posting a return so we can confirm the correct address and instructions for your item. Do not use a supplier or dispatch address unless instructed. Your legal rights and return deadlines are unaffected.
